Anatomy & Function

The vagus nerve is the 10th cranial nerve, extending from the brainstem through the neck and chest into the abdomen.  It is the main component of the parasympathetic nervous system – the ‘rest, digest, and heal’ pathway.

Functions include: regulating heart rate and blood pressure, digestion, lung rhythm, and swallowing reflexes, and communication between gut and brain

Physical Dysfunctions

Anxiety, panic attacks, poor stress resilience.

Digestive issues: IBS, gastroparesis, indigestion.

Heart rhythm irregularities.

Voice problems or swallowing difficulties.

Energetic / Metaphysical Perspective
